Welcome to RANGER TRAINS, the brain child of Graham Campion, who has had over thirty years experience in the travel tour operating business, specialising in rail travel holidays around the world, and also with extensive experience in operating steam and modern traction special trains in the U.K.
It is the intention to provide a programme of around 5-6 interesting days out each year, serving communities along the Midland main line between Bedfordshire and Derbyshire.
The trains will be operated by Riviera Trains Ltd (www.riviera-trains.co.uk), the leading UK provider of quality carriages and diesel locomotives to the UK railtour industry, in conjunction with DBSchenker (formerly EWS), whilst on board catering will be provided by the well established on-train catering company “Frying Scotsman”.
